Call for SFS18 Workshop Proposals

Exciting news: Woodhull’s Sexual Freedom Summit is now accepting workshop proposals for 2018! It’s imperative that we have your voice at the table, especially now, to share information, experiences, tools, and strategies to use in the fight for human rights and sexual freedom.

We’re inviting you to SUBMIT A WORKSHOP PROPOSAL for our 9th Annual Sexual Freedom Summit held on August 2-5, 2018 in Alexandria, VA at the Hilton Mark Center!

This year we will be featuring four workshop tracks centered around specific issues:

  • Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence
  • Orchestrating Change
  • Queering Sexual Freedom
  • Sex As Work
  • Sexuality and Disability

What Else Should You Know?

  • Workshops won’t be limited to the tracks listed above. There is space available for workshops concerning sexuality and human rights that fit into other categories, as well. We want to know about your work and your passion, whether your focus is the white picket fence or the dungeon, LGBTQIA+ rights or reproductive justice, anti-sexual violence work or work in a sex shop, community organizing or lobbying, social media or sexuality education.
  • This year we are looking for workshops that center marginalized voices and experiences, particularly those that look at issues in the context of a larger movement, with a human rights focus.
  • The deadline for proposals is February 14th, 2018. Mark your calendars now so you don’t forget.

Please share and forward this  CALL FOR PROPOSALS far and wide – we want to reach as many folks as possible who are working at the intersections of sexual freedom, human rights, and social justice.
