Karen Bartlett

Karen is a former high school teacher, now teaching at the university level. She has a master’s in Education of the Deaf and is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology. A long time activist, her research and interests include special issues facing LGBT adolescents (especially the intersection of multiple oppressions), relationships in women’s prisons, child language development, sexual identities and expressions of those identities, and sexuality in public education. Karen is a frequent presenter at workshops on topics related to research, mental health, personality typing, and discrimination and diversity issues.
