I am an unabashed geek, a science, technology and sex geek, and I have been as long as I can remember. I was the kid in junior high who threaded the film through the projector and got it to work. I was always taking things apart and putting them back together, sometimes successfully. My favorite class was always science and I liked shop class as well.
I have worked with computers since the middle 70’s, and worked at the first business computer store in the Washington area, Computers, Etc. in Silver Spring from 1981 to 1984. I started then to focus on graphics and imaging and the earliest video image capture boards and frame buffers. I had a good career, moving more and more into video production and ended my career managing technology for a government agency that had a large video production and on-air broadcast center.
I work on AV at my Unitarian Church, help mostly elderly people with technology of all kinds, from phones to computers to televisions and set-top boxes.
Technology has been my livelihood and a major interest, but my passion is sex and sexuality. In the early 80’s I was trained to teach About Your Sexuality for my Unitarian church, was trained later in OWL (Our Whole Lives) for all levels, and taught young people from a number of churches. What I liked most, and continue to really enjoy, is learning, for the best way to learn is to teach.
