Lawrence G. Walters, Esq., of Walters Law Group, serves as General Counsel to Woodhull Freedom Foundation, and has advocated for the right to sexual freedom since the late 80’s. His firm has represented adult website operators, naturists, protestors, adult dance clubs, non-profit groups, advertising networks, and erotic content producers throughout the world. He has extensive litigation experience in the field of constitutional rights, including submission of several briefs at the U.S. Supreme Court, and involvement with numerous precedent-setting cases. He is the past-president and national chairman of the First Amendment Lawyers Association, and founder of the Florida Bar’s First Amendment Law Committee. Mr. Walters’ cases include defense of multiple high-profile obscenity prosecutions, civil rights cases, and complex intellectual property disputes. He regularly comments in the national print and television media on free speech and censorship issues and is a widely-published author. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Walters is a patent-holder, and developer of several mobile applications.

He has earned an “AV” (preeminent) rating from Martindale Hubbell, the national rating service for lawyers, and “10.0 – Superb” by Avvo.com, the popular online attorney rating service. In 2018, he was recognized as First Amendment Lawyer of the Year by “Global Law Experts. In 2016, Lawrence Walters received his Certification as a foreign-trained lawyer by the Canadian Federation of Law Societies, after rigorous testing. Mr. Walters is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, all state and federal courts in Florida, the 9th, 11th and DC Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. Claims Court in Washington, D.C. In addition, he has been admitted pro hac vice to courts across the country.
