Natasha Chabria

Natasha Chabria is the policy manager of our Government Affairs department and a Georgetown Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellow. Natasha is a 2018 graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, where she was a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing and student attorney in the Domestic Violence Clinic. Natasha also served on the Student Bar Association and the Multi-Cultural Law Student Association. Before going to law school, Natasha worked in education, and remains committed to advocating for the rights of youth. She received her BA from Tufts University in 2015, with a major in Peace and Justice Studies, and minors in Education and Linguistics.

Medicaid is the largest source of public health insurance, covering sexual health, reproductive health, and other vital health services for many individuals with low incomes, including a disproportionate share of LGBTQ individuals, women of color, persons with disabilities, and single parents. Yet states have proposed, and the Department of Health and Human Services has approved, demonstration projects that undermine the Medicaid program and punish, stigmatize, and harm individuals enrolled in Medicaid.
