Natashia Milburn is an undergraduate student at St. Petersburg College who will complete her BS in Educational Studies and Community Leadership Program in Summer 2019. She is Dr. Jill McCracken’s research assistant and a Co-Investigator on the Adolescent Sexual Health Education and Research (ASHER) Project, a research project that works with youth in high-risk situations to better understand and prevent exploitation and violence. She is drawn to this project (ASHER) because she believes all young females need to have knowledge and understand their rights in order to have a healthy sexual life in the future. Natashia is also interested in women rights, sexual health education for youth, the LGBTQIAA community, and supporting the arts. In addition to her work as a student and dedicated research assistant, she teaches children’s art, science through crafts, acting classes, and creates curriculum for summer camps. She also volunteers at the local community theater.
