Jazzmin Boyd
she/her
Summit Volunteer Coordinator
Jazzmin (she/her) is a Philadelphia native who is passionate about educating others regarding their sexual health/wellness, bodily autonomy, and reproductive rights. She attended Villanova University and majored in Biochemistry, with a minor in Spanish. While at Villanova, Jazzmin was “bit by the service bug”, and dedicated her time doing domestic and international service. Her career has focused on education/literacy, community engagement, youth development, reproductive justice and health promotion in schools, health facilities, and community-based settings.
She currently works as the SHIPP (Sustainable Health Implementation PrEP Pilot) Program Coordinator for the PrEP program at the eight Philadelphia Department of Public Health clinics. Jazzmin educates patients on HIV prevention tools, including information on PrEP/nPEP, and links patients to care and other resources. She also co-facilitates the “Girls With Options” program—a sexual health/contraceptive education workshop for young girls and women in Philadelphia.
Jazzmin has been associated with Woodhull since 2017, serving as a volunteer and volunteer coordinator for the Sexual Freedom Summit. When she is not at the health center, Jazzmin is spending time as a full-spectrum doula, educating women on their reproductive choices and supporting pregnant families before, during, and after the labor/birthing process.
