Amy Sohn is the author of twelve books, including the novels Prospect Park West, Motherland, and The Actress. Sohn’s latest, The Man Who Hated Women: Sex, Censorship & Civil Liberties in the Gilded Age, was published in hardcover last year with Farrar, Straus & Giroux and named one of the Top Ten History Books of 2021 by Smithsonian. She lives in Brooklyn with her daughter.
