Savannah Sly is a jack of all sex trades hailing from New England, who currently makes mischief in Seattle. As a community organizer with SWOP-Seattle, and former President of SWOP-USA, Savannah has been able to take action on issues relating to sex work prohibition through community building, public education, media engagement, agitation, and art. Savannah firmly believes that sex worker uprising aids directly in the toppling of the global patriarchy, and is instrumental in ushering in the return of the Goddess, or divine feminine power.

By definition, criminalization is "The action of turning someone into a criminal by making their activities illegal". In this presentation, we'll examine how individuals in the sex trade are driven to dangerous isolation by laws that criminalize not only their work, but their connections with other humans.
