Director of Operations

ML has a wealth of experience in operations management overseeing small and large nonprofit organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Travis County, and various other organizations and associations. Most recently, ML has directed operations for the Marijuana Leadership Campaign and Decriminalize Sex Work.

Inspired by the opportunity to work toward Woodhull’s mission to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right, ML has already made her mark directing Woodhull’s first virtual Sexual Freedom Summit, developed in response to COVID-19. Her multi-faceted career in theater as an actor, educator, director, and playwright has provided Woodhull’s Summit with fresh, new approaches to programming as we try to bridge, as much as possible, the chasm between in-person and virtual programming.

In addition to her position as Director of Operations for Woodhull, ML has a leadership role in a theater company, Broad Theater, whose goal is to give voice to stories about or by women. Their most recent original work, I’m Still Leaving, was awarded Best of Fest as part of the 2020 FronteraFest Shortfringe in Austin, TX.
